I‘ve been in strategic & financial communications for more than 25 years, mostly as an independent consultant. After turns as a communications and public affairs staffer in government and Toronto’s banking sector, I switched sides, morphed into a communications consultant and launched Crystalogix, my own practice in 2000. Since then, I’ve been helping a diverse group of businesses – clients with large corporations, medium-sized companies and independent businesses in different industry sectors – satisfy their communications needs. I’ve also spent time in the investor relations field as an advisor and consultant at a leading IR agency, working with helping clients to manage their regulatory obligations and financial reporting requirements, and building their relationships with the street.
I’ve done countless writing assignments of all kinds for print and digital media, crafted keynote speeches for executives, and developed video scripts and numerous multimedia shows for live audiences. My annual report writing has been recognized with gold awards for excellence in corporate reporting In Canada and the United States.
Back in the day, I started out as a freelance writer and communicator in Toronto in the 1980s, moving here from London, England armed with degrees in the social sciences from Bristol and Oxford Universities.
